Apart from the Fireball (
) and the Lightning Spell
(
) there are 11 more spells in Glow,
which can sometimes be used if desired and sometimes have to be used in order
to advance further within a level. All collected spells can be found and
selected in the inventory (I key). A selected spell can be done by
pressing the attack key (Space key). Every collected spell provides
1000 points. The following 11 spells are available in the course of the
game:

Confusion Spell: You can temporarily immobilize the enemies with this
spell. All onscreen enemies will be affected by this spell and they remain
incapable of acting for a little while. |

Psycho Spell: The Psycho Spell has a similar effect to the Confusion
Spell with the difference being that all onscreen enemies will attack one
another. |
|
|
Healing Spell: The Healing Spell or health potion refills all of your
life energy. |
|
|
Shield Spell: The Shield Spell protects Stevie from attacks and traps
for a little while. You become invulnerable while the Shield Spell is
active. |
|
|
Invisibility Spell: While invisible, the enemies will not be able to
attack you as they cannot see you. This allows you to destroy a large number of
enemies without getting attacked yourself. However, touching an enemy in this
condition will still result in losing life energy. |

|
Flying Spell: Using this spell, Stevie can fly and cross chasms.
Sometimes you need this spell to obtain important objects such as keys. |
|
|
Shrinking Spell: Stevie can be shrunk with the Shrinking Spell. This
allows him to pass through narrow gaps and passages. Nevertheless, he can jump
as high and as far as if he was still bigger. Stevie can only be that small for
a limited time. As soon as that time is over he grows back to normal size. If
he grows back while being stuck in a gap he will burst and the game will be
over. |

Morphing Spell: Using the Morphing Spell, Stevie can morph into a ball.
This allows him to slip through even smaller cracks than with the Shrinking
Spell. In addition, as a ball he is able to jump much higher. However, he
cannot attack as a ball and he cannot use any other spells, either. Just as the
Shrinking Spell, the Morphing Spell is of a temporary nature. |

Slow-Motion Spell: Using this spell makes all enemies move in
slow-motion. This can be especially useful when quick enemies are pacing
towards you and you are unable to defend yourself in any other way. |

|
Time-Freeezing Spell: You can stop time completely. Activating this
spell allows you to effortlessly eliminate all enemies on the screen. As most
spells this one is limited in time, too. |

|
Telekinesis Spell: The Telekinesis Spell lets you sweep stones out
of the way in order to get to doors or to a passageway. The distance between
Stevie and the stone should be as much as to allow for the stone to fly past
Stevie. Although Stevie can move a stone when he is standing in front of it he
cannot push it aside as he is blocking the stone’s way. |
